Young Artists Abroad
Designed for student musicians and their families Musical Paris 2027 provides an unforgettable week where music, culture, and friendship come together in one of the world's most inspiring and musical cities - Paris, the "city of light."
Student Performance at the Rachmaninoff Conservatoire
The highlight of Musical Paris 2027 is the student recital at the Rachmaninoff Conservatoire located just across the Seine River from the Eiffel Tower. Founded in 1924, the conservatory has seen such artists as Vladimir Horowitz, Yuja Wang, and Sergei Prokofiev, and so many others and serves as an incredible performance venue for our students and families.
Concerts at Sainte-Chapelle & Palais Garnier
Experience two unforgettable evenings of music in some of Paris's most extraordinary performance venues. From the stunning stained-glass beauty of Sainte-Chapelle to the grandeur and elegance of the historic Palais Garnier, these concerts offer a remarkable glimpse into the city's rich artistic and musical heritage.
Visits to the Louvre, Notre Dame, & d'Orsay
Together we explore some of Paris's most treasured landmarks, including Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and the Musée d'Orsay, discovering the art, history, and culture that have inspired generations of musicians and artists. As we walk through these remarkable spaces as a group, students and families will experience Paris not simply as tourists, but as participants in the rich artistic traditions that continue to shape the city today.
Versailles Palace and Garden Bike Tour
Perhaps everyone's favorite day is the guided bicycle tour through the expansive gardens and grounds of Versailles, offering a unique and memorable way to experience one of France's most iconic royal estates. Traveling together through tree-lined paths, fountains, and scenic vistas allows students and families to enjoy the beauty of Versailles at a relaxed pace before exploring the palace.
Group Dinners
Our welcome and farewell dinners provide special opportunities for students and families to gather, share experiences, and enjoy the camaraderie that develops throughout the trip. These memorable evenings help create a sense of community and celebration, marking both the beginning and conclusion of our time together abroad.
Who is this for?
This tour is designed for intermediate through advanced student pianists, generally ages 10–18, along with their parents and family members who wish to travel together. Non-performing siblings and family members are welcome. Each student performer must travel with at least one adult.
*If you have a student who is a non-piano playing musician and are interested in this trip, please let me know.
**Also, if you are an adult musician interested in a trip like this, please let me know as I am considering creating a separate week for adult musicians.
Reviews
"Our family traveled with two middle-school pianists, and the trip exceeded every expectation. The balance of musical experiences, sightseeing, and family time was perfect, and seeing our children perform in Paris was something we will never forget. They returned home inspired, more confident, and even more excited about their piano studies."
"As a rising 10th-grade pianist, I was nervous about traveling with a group at first, but it ended up being one of the best experiences I've ever had. Performing internationally, attending concerts, and spending time with other students who love music as much as I do was incredibly motivating. The trip gave me memories and friendships that I know will stay with me for years."
"Our son was a rising 11th grader when he joined the tour, and we were amazed by how much he gained from the experience. The performances, cultural activities, and exposure to great music helped him mature both as a musician and as a young adult. He came home with a deeper appreciation for music, new friendships, and a confidence that was evident long after the trip ended."
